Preparing For Your Shoot

  • Visualize the clothing, sexy heels, accessories, and props you will want to wear for your shoot. This will help you mentally prepare for the big day.
  • Shop your closet for the items you instinctively select when you want to feel (and look) your very best. Let your imagination roam! Cute chunky sweaters are one of our favorites.
  • Grab a style-savvy and fun-loving friend and hit women’s fashion boutiques to hunt down an ensemble that not only flatters your figure but makes you feel comfortable, unquestionably beautiful, and relaxed.
  • Bring something meaningful to you or your significant other; this serves as a great way to personalize your shoot. It may be lingerie your husband gave you on your first anniversary or a vintage charm bracelet you found on a scouting expedition while on vacation.

Pick out lingerie that highlights your every lovely curve, but remember sometimes a tight T-shirt, soft sweater, or oversized button-down shirt can be even sexier. Let your own personality shine through

Tips on purchasing lingerie:

  • Get fitted by a pro! Sizing is very important when it comes to lingerie, make sure things aren’t too tight.
  • Have sets! Make sure that your panties match your bras! Sounds like a simple thing but you wouldn’t believe how many people forget to match panties with tops.
  • Feel free to over-pack! We will most definitely help you pick which pieces look the best for photos
  • Don’t choose too many thongs or g-strings. They have a tendency to make things look flat…. Grab some cheeky or hipster panties instead. Regardless if you have a pair that you love, bring them!
  • Avoid bringing baby-doll-style lingerie. These tops actually bring more attention to your mid-section than you think. We want to highlight your curves so try high-waisted panties or bodysuits instead.
  • We recommend sticking with solid colors overprints. Most prints are just too busy to photograph well. Try adding textures like lace, glitter, chains, and beading instead.
  • BRING HEELS! Girl, we love some barefoot boudoir photos but bring those heels too. Heels add height to your photos. We love black and nude pumps! Stay away from ankle straps as they have the tendency to make your legs look shorter.

T Minus 3 Days

  • If you wax, do so a few days before your shoot to avoid any bumpiness or redness.
  • Make sure your eyebrows are nicely shaped and groomed.
  • If you’re planning to visit the salon for a haircut or color, then give yourself a few days to make sure you are happy with it.
  • Be sure to get a salon manicure and pedicure for a flawless finish. If you don’t have the time or money, leave your nails bare.
  • Stay out of the sun – while a base tan will be nice in photos, red, blotchy skin will not.
  • PLEASE – DO NOT SPRAY TAN.
  • Drink plenty of water for luminous skin.
  • Lower your salt intake and avoid alcohol if you’re worried about retaining water.
  • Try on outfits and lingerie to make sure they fit properly; remove all tags and labels.

The Night Before

  • Bathe, shave, and moisturize.
  • Exfoliate your lips! Make sure to use a simple sugar scrub and moisturize well after.
  • Double-check everything is properly packed and ready for the shoot: heels, jewelry, accessories, props.
  • Enjoy a relaxed, quiet evening.
  • Plan for a good night’s sleep – eight hours is ideal.

The Big Day

  • Eat something! We don’t want you to end up fainting on the floor during the shoot.
  • Avoid powdered deodorant. Clear, or no-mess spray on is best.
  • Wear loose-fitting clothing and avoid wearing panties and a bra if you can. These red marks will show in your photos.
  • If you are having hair and make-up done, please arrive with clean and moisturized skin. Your hair will need to be clean and free of any products.
  • Have your final payment ready.
  • Most important: Take a deep breath and RELAX. It’s completely normal to be a bit nervous before your shoot, but please don’t worry because you will be in very good hands. We will show you exactly how to pose and work with you to get the perfect shot.

After Your Amazing Session

  • Your first round of images is typically ready 2 weeks after the session. We will meet with you in the studio to review all of your proofs and select your products! Once you review the proofs in your ordering session, all purchased images will go through the second round of editing before they are sent off to our printer.
  • We do have no-interest payment plans available to purchase your images if that is more convenient than paying all at once. *One-time administration fee applies to no-interest plans
