- Visualize the clothing, sexy heels, accessories, and props you will want to wear for your shoot. This will help you mentally prepare for the big day.
- Shop your closet for the items you instinctively select when you want to feel (and look) your very best. Let your imagination roam! Cute chunky sweaters are one of our favorites.
- Grab a style-savvy and fun-loving friend and hit women’s fashion boutiques to hunt down an ensemble that not only flatters your figure but makes you feel comfortable, unquestionably beautiful, and relaxed.
- Bring something meaningful to you or your significant other; this serves as a great way to personalize your shoot. It may be lingerie your husband gave you on your first anniversary or a vintage charm bracelet you found on a scouting expedition while on vacation.
Pick out lingerie that highlights your every lovely curve, but remember sometimes a tight T-shirt, soft sweater, or oversized button-down shirt can be even sexier. Let your own personality shine through
Tips on purchasing lingerie:
- Get fitted by a pro! Sizing is very important when it comes to lingerie, make sure things aren’t too tight.
- Have sets! Make sure that your panties match your bras! Sounds like a simple thing but you wouldn’t believe how many people forget to match panties with tops.
- Feel free to over-pack! We will most definitely help you pick which pieces look the best for photos
- Don’t choose too many thongs or g-strings. They have a tendency to make things look flat…. Grab some cheeky or hipster panties instead. Regardless if you have a pair that you love, bring them!
- Avoid bringing baby-doll-style lingerie. These tops actually bring more attention to your mid-section than you think. We want to highlight your curves so try high-waisted panties or bodysuits instead.
- We recommend sticking with solid colors overprints. Most prints are just too busy to photograph well. Try adding textures like lace, glitter, chains, and beading instead.
- BRING HEELS! Girl, we love some barefoot boudoir photos but bring those heels too. Heels add height to your photos. We love black and nude pumps! Stay away from ankle straps as they have the tendency to make your legs look shorter.
